My grandmother who lives in my hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma sent me a clipping of the TulsaWorld Newspaper. It was an article by Marlene Yanik titled "John Adams, too, deserves a monument" with the caption reading, "The second president was a guiding force in the early U.S."

Yanik described some of Adams' important and often ignored contributions to the founding of the United States. It's a great, quick read for anyone who's interested!…

As always, the suggestion or contribution of other fun facts, links, or other things are always appreciated. Simply comment below and it will likely be included in the next blog, or added retroactively.

- Submissions may feature John Adams or a direct family member (Abigail, Nabby, John Quincy, etc.)

- Submissions may feature any architectural structure or momument/statue associated with the Adamses (some submission may be subject to removal, but we will send a note).

- Prose, poetry, etc. is permitted.

- Slash/pairing is just fine so long as John Adams or a direct family member is featured.

- Cosplay is fine, just explain the relationship it has to John Adams or family in description.

- For the time being, submissions must be approved, though this is likely to change in the future. Be aware that daily life tribulations may delay the acceptance of a submission. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

SEDITION ACT requires:

1. Please no rediculously rude/hateful comments -- that's just immature (and John has a sensitive ego)

2. The posting of comments that disobey the above rule will result in the removal of any work submitted by that commenter.

3. Hateful artwork, no matter how well executed, will not be accepted.

Disapprove? Questions? Feel free to Note an admin or comment.

I would adore to be able to become a member of your group, especially because I really want to give your group the permission to add my "John's Departure to France" to the gallery, but it continues to say that you are no longer accepting members...

I'm so delighted that such a thing as a John Adams Society exists here.
